our microwave died. we had a may tag that didn't vent to the outside. had a charcoal filter. my husband purchased a magic chef and the installation instructions include information for venting ducts- will this work or do we need to get a model that has the charcoal filters

Don't it come with a filter and venting it out is just a option they are showing you in the manual? If so then it's up to you as to what you want to do.
