Microwave Repair

my microwave will start for 2 sec then stop for 1 sec then start and run full time but will do this about 50% of the time.
The OTHER 50% it starts and stops, starts and stops over and over doing nothing else.
HELP!!
have no idea whats wrong

i have a kenmore micowave which just started doing the same thing. i had my micowave for just about 16 years now and i don't want to replace it if it is cheap enough to replace a part.
