So I was thawing some baby food the other day, and apparently the microwave didn't think that was such a great idea. It made a very loud and startling POP, but kept running. I let it run for the 28 seconds remaining (too scared to get close to it), and discovered that not only were my frozen pureed pears still VERY frozen, but I was now graced with an unpleasant burning smell -- electrical, if I had to guess. In reading a few other posts, it sounds like my capacitor blew? Is this something that can be fixed? Do I need an electrician? How big of a dent is this going make in my measly little savings account? Thanks in advance!
