Default microwave carousel motor not working
Model Number: MH1150XMB-4   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

It seems that my microwave carousel motor has some wires loose.
sometimes the turnable works and some times it does not work. some times it works after 40 seconds or so. I have cleaned the area properly but it is still not working. I am pretty sure the area is cleaned. I tried cleaning it several times. It looks like there is some loose contact in the motor.
How can I repair this?
Please guide me.

The first thing I would check is the turntable support (#7 on the turntable parts break down diagram). It could be worn out or cracked.

- The part number for the support AP3882860

Part no.7 seems looks ok. I tried turn it and it works fine.
Anything underneath that might be broken?

Did you remove the part to check it from the bottom?

Yes, I checked the part and it is good. No crack or rusting.

Remove the bottom panel.

Make sure the turn table switch is "on".

Remove the electrical plug from the turn table motor and check for 120V coming to the motor when the microwave is "on".

Post the result, please.

Gene.

Default Started working but on and off....

Finally, I got time to open the bottom panel and checked the volt. Some times it was 120 and some times it was not coming at all. I mean 0 volt.
I opened the keypad panel and tighten all cables. It started working. But it was for few days only. It has again started behaving weird.
It is a loose contact. If I tap the microwave panel from the side, it works.
