Hello.

We have a GE Spacemaker JVM 1660 that a GE service tech. diagnosed & stated Magnetron was kaput. The Magnetron part is still within warranty, but labor to install is expensive. I decided to order the part directly from GE service and either attempt to install myself or have another local tech quote labor to repair.

The Magnetron part w/ connections seem straightforward, but I have not yet taken apart the microware to find location with unit. Does the microwave have to be removed from cabinet to have access to Magnetron?

Is this a technical repair or can someone with common sense install? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Much,
JDB
