Last year, I noticed that instead of taking 3.5 minutes to make microwave popcorn in the presto maker, it started taking less time. Then about 6 months ago, the papers at the bottom began to get a burned hole in it, and eventually it got so bad, burning the popcorn near it, I had to replace the papers every time, :( rather than every 20 to 30 times. I thought the plastic presto popcorn maker's plastic was breaking down causing the concentration of heat in the bottom center, and burning the popcorn near it, so threw it away and got a new one.

The new one was OK the 1st time, but the 2nd time using it, the bottom paper had a black over heating mark in the center. The 3rd time, the hole burned out through the paper, and popcorn near it was blackened. Now, I realize that it must be some concentration of heat/waves in the microwave? And since I'm disabled, I'm wondering if these strange micro waves could be leaking on me? I just know there is some engineer that will understand this, and am hopeful you might just find this? :D
