I have had my Samsung Microwave/Convection Oven for about 8 years and never had a problem until recently. I had it sitting in a place not too far from the sink. I know this isn't the best idea but since this appliance is so large and takes a three pronged outlet, it was the only place I could put it. For the longest time I kept the protective plastic film over the keypad but recently decided to take it off (the protective film that covers the keybad from when it is brand new, I mean). Ever since I decided to remove this protective film, the keypad no longer works. I try to type in the cook time on the keypad and it freezes up. If I leave it unplugged for awhile, it will work once and then won't work again. It will beep once and keep blinking the words, "Enter Time" on the top of the keypad. Other times, it will think I told it to do a heat time instead of a microwave cook time and I have almost burnt microwavable dishes because of this. Does anybody know what part I might need to replace and how to do so? Further, is this part even still available? I looked on the Samsung website and I didn't even see any product support for this item. Any information that anybody might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your assistance.
