I've got the above referenced microwave. About a year ago the light bulb burned out and apparently had gotten hot enough to melt the plastic housing which allowed to short to the metal light cover/dome.

The wiring harness was burnt and replaced. The light still does not work. Everything else works perfectly fine. The light switch on the panel works and indicates light on/light off.

Does anyone know if there is an inline fuse hidden in there somewhere?

I contacted GE and they gave me the "microwaves are not safe to be worked on by the do it yourselfer" line. I'm stubborn and not willing to pay a svc fee.
