The magnetron is a Sanyo 2M219HB, and I was wondering if it can be replaced with a 2M219JB. The specs appear identical, with the only noticeable difference being that the plug is on the bottom instead of on the side. Does anyone know if it would work? Thanks!

Manufacturers have designated letter codes for various configurations. The configuration of the magnetron 2M219HB is "H" and the configuration of the magnetron 2M219JB is "J". Gene.

So if I installed it, it would fit perfectly except the filament leads would be pointing up instead of left. As long as the wires reach, it should work, right? Would you happen to know what the "B" represents? Tom Tom

You have to make sure it is going to be safe to use the microwave. Gene.
