Model Number: gh7145xfb Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Microwave was off and started running on it's own. Display indicates F6 when running. No functions are working and I need to unplug it to stop running. Should we bother with repairing?

The F6 is a relay failure which is part of the control board (AP3177273) an easy enough part to replace. Not the least expensive part in the unit, but it is repairable if that is the direction you want to go.
