Hi Mark, Unfortunately we cannot do access any Panasonic technical information. Possible the magnetron was bad from the beginning. It's hard to say if it's worth any repair. Personally, I do not like Panasonic microwaves, but it does not mean they are much worse than others. I also do not like microwaves with inverters because I do not see why they should be better for us as consumers and repair people.

Hi, I have an NNS540 with a burnt out inverter board (the rightmost of the three big black transistors mounted on the heatsink looks like it blew, taking a couple of resistors with it). Magnetron is fine. I'm curious if you fixed yours, and if not if you would be interested in selling me one of your inverters (if you don't think it was the problem). I'm not sure if the two boards are the same between the NNS560 and 540 however.

Anyway, if I can't get mine working, I have a useless bunch of parts.

Thanks,
Joshua

Well, let's see, I paid $120 for the microwave 9 years ago. The replacement part is $170. Looks like my trash can will be a little heavy this weekend. (I'll actually try to recycle some of the sheet metal, and I'll save the magnetron for the fun of it.

Do you know the transistor part number for T702? The far right transistor. Mine is blown and I can't read the part number. All other parts look good. I have a NN-S560WF microwave.

Thanks,
Gary

Unfortunately mine went up in smoke as well - the whole front of the thing was charcoal. The left one was fine, at least visibly.

Hi William,

Thank you for the service manual and the inverter manual. In the inverter manual, they listed Toshiba IGBT Transistors and a modification kit for this inverter. I have "Fuji Electric" Transistors in my inverter and was not able to cross reference the components to see if I could interchange them.

The FCC ID # is: ACLAP4T01

Thanks again for all your help,

Gary
