Had a very similar problem years ago. Found the ribbon cable from the key pad to the board had become fouled with dirt and shorted out some leads.
Remove the face plate and remove the ribbon cable, use a scissors and cut 1/4 inch off the ribbon cable, clean the connector contacts and reconnect. After that mine worked fine for years. |
