This MW fits in a custom space above my stove....not easy to replace.
MW works fine except for the top half. It hasn't worked for some time but now I feel like fixing it. Does the smart board cover all the controls? What else could it be since as I said the bottom half has no working issues. I see you sell a smart board and I have taken the unit apart (unplugged) and I see this is easily put in with the snap on connectors. What are your thoughts on this.

Can you explain more specific what did you call "the top half" and "the bottom half"?

The top half is the sensor area there are 10 things they are popcorn, meat, chicken pieces, potatoes, etc. You press your choice it comes on then it errors. there is a line and then there are other choices like micro cook,
time defrost, auto defrost, temp cook, auto roast and under there are he numbers, clock, start, etc. all of these work. Its the top part that doesn't work. Does this help I have tried all the things in the booklet when it errors to reset etc. nothing works.

Sounds like the problem is a bad key panel. In order to provide the right part number I need the color of the key panel.

The part number for the white key panel assembly is AP2026295. This part is on back order. Call the customer service at 877-477-7278 to find the ETA.

Inside colors are not important at all.
