Humming noise in GE Profile XL 1800
Model Number: xl1800 Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Very suddenly our GE profile spacemaker XL 1800 will not operate...It displays the time, but trying to do anything else gets a loud humming noise or buzz...If you open the door, you get the buzz...Turn the lights on, you get the buzz...It doesn't heat, nor will the turn table rotate, but trying to will get ya the buzz...I'm guessing a transformer, but as of yet, haven't figured out how to open the microwave to get access to these parts...I've seen one post here with what sounds to be the same problem, but no answer to his post...Can anyone give me a clue as to how to access the inner workings and what this problem might be...Would appreciate anyones ideas...
