Model Number: mh6100xyb0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
My microwave will blow the 15A fuse (in the microwave) when you try to cook. I've found the HV cap. to be shorted but I'm not sure how to tell if the HV diode is bad. I measure 11.32 Mohms in one direction and infinity in the other. Is the diode good?

This is the one of the most common problems with the old Whirlpool microwaves. You have to replace just the capacitor and do not worry about the diode. The part number for the capacitor is AP3119626 Good luck. Gene. |
