Model Number: KBMC147HSS0 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 5 - 10 years
The "start" and "cancel/off" buttons only work a small fraction of the time. So I cannot enter a time and hit start to cook. I get around this by hitting the "popcorn" or "custom reheat" buttons. cooking starts automatically after a few seconds. I just have to open the door at the correct time since I could not manually enter it in. However, sometimes when I open the door the microwave does not know it and it keeps cooking. If I close and open it 1 or 2 more times the microwave will stop and display will finally read "door open". Are all of these issues linked and can they be fixed by a do it yourselfer? Incidentally we had to replace the control panel a few months ago. Used a tech. Panel came from APP. Otherwise microwave works very well.
