Microwave not heating and giving off bad odor
Model Number: JVM1660BB005 Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
GE MICROWAVE OVEN JVM1660BB005 (Jan, 2001)
My microwave oven began having turntable problems a week ago. It would stop turning and make a rumbling sound. Upon opening and closing the door it would usually begin operating without any problem. (I suspected it might be a worn belt associated with the turntable, though did not address it immediately.) This past week, the oven stopped heating food! Additionally, I believe I smelled something foul coming from it (like something was burning, though the oven was empty and clean). All lights, clock, and timers are working. Any suggestions as to how to trouble shoot this? Or should I immediately contact a GE Authorized Service Center? Ads By Google Related Models
