runs 1 second then stops 1 second continues pattern
Model Number: 665.61684101 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a kenmore elite built in microwave over the stove. It worked normally until this morning. I attempted to heat up a cup of coffee and it came on for 1 second then off 1 second and will continue this pattern. I have never seen a microwave do this before. I am technically capable of checking it out but where to start? lights, fans all work fine. I have no error code. Also it behaves the same on all keypad settings. I don't want to spend a bunch of money if this is a major issue. I will just replace the unit.
Well after much troubleshooting found that the main control board was bad. I opted to trash the unit and buy a new one as the board was nearly 200.00 shipped.
