GE Spacemaker oven has broken handle. (1) I don't know how to remove for replacement, there are no screws visible nor any place where it may come apart from the door; (2) I cannot find model 004 in the GE list. They have 001, 2, 3, 5, 6 but no 004!!

Can anyone help me? Is there a manual as to how to do what I want and where to find the right part?

I can't find 004 anywhere, even GE doesn't show it. I would take a chance and get a handle from 003 (see below). If it happens to be different, send it back for a refund. Our return policy is very forgiving and the whole process is fast and simple.

How to replace the door handle
First, click here to see the diagram. #11 hooks on to #9. Get a kitchen knife or a putty knife and slowly pull #11 off the door. Use this thread for more help. Once #11 is off, you will see the handle screws and will be able to replace the handle at that point.

Wow, you guys are awsome! You helped me in such a short time. I already ordered, got the part in and installed the handle. I was worried about the installation but help from the technical people was great. It only copst me the price of handle. I saved the installation cost of (from another source) about $60, and I learned how. That is really I like the best, doing it myself. Thanks everyone who helped.

Thanks! This thread got me through the reinstall. For me, the diagram wasn't very clear --- #11 is on the inner side of the door and looks like (and perhaps is) a seal. Under this is where you'll find the screw for the bottom of the handle.
