Model Number: MH1170XSB-4 Brand: Whirlpool Age: Less than 1 year
We moved into a newly built house that came with a Whirlpool microwave hood combo, M/N MH1170XSB-4, but have been experiencing issues with steam/odors being vented properly. If we boil water on our stove directly below, the hood does almost nothing to pull in the steam and it collets on the door of the microwave and the wood cabinets above. There seems to be very little pull or vacuum from the unit altough the fan speed sounds like it's moving a lot of air. There's enough air movement for the outside vent to open but it would seem very little else. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it's simply an installation issue? I'm have trouble getting our builder to respond so there may not be much hope there. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
