Model Number: MMV5000BAQ Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Touchpad has always been a bit "temperamental" and by that I mean sometimes certain functions simply wouldn't work unless time was spent repeatedly attempting to push the button in precisely the right spot. We have had electrical "crackling" with "flashes" within the first few seconds of cooking, loud like popcorn, but brief and the oven would always operate seemingly fine during and after. Do you think these two issues are related? Does it sound like replacing the touchpad is the solution??
