Hi - I think our Emerson microwave got power surged during a lightning storm this week...it worked fine one moment and not the next. Is there a reset button do you know? I can't really afford a tech if it is something that we can fix ourselves....I only have the owners manual that came with it. Is there a diagram we can look at on the web somewhere to help with seeing what the parts are? Thank you so much.

Is it completely dead or it's just not heating? Is there 120VAC to the microwave?

I think it must be totally dead. It is plugged into a grounded 3 prong outlet.....the clock indicator is not illuminated and pressing any of the buttons does nothing.....I have checked the house circuit breaker and it seems that everything is ok. Thank you for your help Gene. By the way, our freezer is also plugged into the outlet and works fine.

Try to plug it in a different outlet (which you definitely know is working).

Is this an over the range or just a counter top microwave? There are no on-line information available for this model number.
