Default Bosch HMV9503 display flakey
Brand: Bosch   Age: 1 - 5 years

For the last few months, my over the range Bosch microwave oven has become increasingly erratic. It's about 2 years old. The display can go bad - all segments lit, or some light up at random, or a walking pattern of brightness appears. In this state, the Clear button has no effect, and power cycling is becoming increasingly ineffective. I have reseated all connectors and boards inside, and nothing looks or smells fried. When it is working correctly, opening and closing the door sometimes sends it into a bad state, with the fan running, but not cooking. The microswitch on the bottom of the door seems OK though. Any ideas on what is wrong?

thanks
Rod
