Absolute truth here always replace. Most now are analog and are non adjustable.

Chris, it appears that someone has bypass the wiring to the switch. If u hear the actual switch clicking, and it still won't stop. The the bypass is still in place.

I have seen in a rash of fans/impellers that are collecting lint and causing some sever vibration issues. Also have seen mount plate that holds the heater assy vibrate at the bottom of the dryer....
