washer front loader
usually not level, or unbalanced load...try it empty, it needs to be rock solid on the floor...

check the door switch, then your circuit breakers...
draining tub before I check pump
lean the washer back against the wall at about a 45 degree angle, take off bottom panel and there should be a round piece of the pump that screws off that you can clean out... i think this is how...
questions
you probably have a bad coupler... it's a small round piece between the motor and the transmission...
agitatator lower part does not turn ?
you need to remove the very top of the agitator, about 6 inches down in there you'll see a bolt, take it out and pull the agitator off.( might not be easy) then run wash on lowest setting, if you see...

i'm assuming that this the top element in the oven, the broiler element. if it's that you either have a short to ground or the controller (clock) is bad.
Whirpool clothes washer not draining
if it spins, you probably have something stuck in the pump, or the hose that comes from the tub to the pump.
