My washer won't agitate or spin, the motor just hums. I checked the belt and pulleys they spin freely. The agitator and tub won't move. I'm thinking it the transmission however I'm wondering if the...

Could be a faulty water temperature sensor, it won't close the cycle without the water reaching the proper temp.

You probably have a faulty water level sensor, that relays to the fill valve to shut. Some older models have diaphragm with a plastic hose attached check the hose and connection first. Best of luck.
