So it seems like you need to determine if in fact the thrust bearing assembly is working correctly, or if its the transmission. I'm not sure of the best way. You could take out the brake assembly... |

Hmm. OK. So with the belt on, it will spin and drain via the motor. So, the brake seems to be ok that way, and the pump appears ok. With the belt off, can you turn the transmission pulley CW... |

I may have to advertise to fix this specific model! I do hope this helps someone else with this type of Maytag. Seems that they have these types of problems fairly often. Cheers! |
