My belt-drive Whirlpool has become super-noisy (with video)
It sounds like something has entered the drain pump, you'll have to remove it and check inside.

I guess i'm confused about what "plastic part" you're referring to.. the overlay (membrane) is double sided taped to the housing... the housing is all one piece and cannot be disassembled any more....
