Timer knob removal Check that the outer knob is pushed in (what you do when you want to change the cycle by rotating it clockwise) then unscrew it by rotating it anti clockwise. When removed the inner knob slips off. |

Help, LOUD Clanking in spin cycle only It may not be the spider - just the bearings. Replacement is quite a chore and you may only be able to get bearings and drum together $300-$400. |

GE Front loader bearing axial play - GE Front loader bearing axial play Two washes after replacing the bearings and shell a thumping noise started. On checking there is no radial play in the bearings, but there is about 1/8" axial play. What is wrong and what can be done. |
