Check that the outer knob is pushed in (what you do when you want to change the cycle by rotating it clockwise) then unscrew it by rotating it anti clockwise. When removed the inner knob slips off. |

It may not be the spider - just the bearings. Replacement is quite a chore and you may only be able to get bearings and drum together $300-$400. |

Two washes after replacing the bearings and shell a thumping noise started. On checking there is no radial play in the bearings, but there is about 1/8" axial play. What is wrong and what can be done. |

The tub bearing appears to be broken. Is it worth repairing this 9 year old front loader? Problem is it is stack mounted so I would-probably have to buy a dryer as well:mad:! If I decide to repair it... |
