Sorry if this is a dumb ?, but when you said "remove the screws under lint screen" you were referring to a dryer with a lint screen on top (like ours) and not in the door right?

Forgot to mention that when I emptied the vac after using it on the dust/lint/metal shavings I found a spring (sort of like on a pen but bigger of course). What would it go to?
