I figured it out. it was simple. There's only 2 screws, inside the oven, in the back holding down the cover plate for the bake element. Thanks |

How do you remove the bake element (bottom) from a maytag oven, model# mer5775qaw? It looks difficult from the bottom. Are there any video's on how to do this? Harry |

When you said the bottom, did you mean turn the oven on it's side and work from the bottom of the oven or inside the oven? I can't see how I would take it out from the botom. Is there a video out... |

Need Help? I know I need a bake element. I was looking in the back of the oven and disconnected the red and yellow wires to the bake element(bottom) and left them disconnected and plugged in the oven... |
