How to remove the back element from oven.
I figured it out. it was simple. There's only 2 screws, inside the oven, in the back holding down the cover plate for the bake element.

How do you remove the bake element (bottom) from a maytag oven, model# mer5775qaw? It looks difficult from the bottom.

Are there any video's on how to do this?

When you said the bottom, did you mean turn the oven on it's side and work from the bottom of the oven or inside the oven? I can't see how I would take it out from the botom. Is there a video out...

I appreciate the help. I didn't want to replace the clock/timer since it's the most expensive part but don't have a choice now.

I know I need a bake element. I was looking in the back of the oven and disconnected the red and yellow wires to the bake element(bottom) and left them disconnected and plugged in the oven...
