The motor I replaced was part # 4 on the "Motor and Pump Assembly" PDF. The springs I am refering to are located on part #13 same PDF. As to the incident I was just moving my hand under the machine... |

I'm not sure if you mean the springs that are located on the motor mount slide? If so they are fine, and there are not any others that I am aware of. When the drive belt is off the only belt... |

I have a Maytag SE1000 series 06 sn#114073 VN. A while back the motor would chatter before going into the spin/drain cycle and we would smell hot electrical, after a few days or loads the machine... |
