You are probably right. I also keep thinking that there must be places that sell stripped parts off of old machines like junkyards with car parts (do people still do that?), but I haven't found any...

I just hate buying the whole board when all I need is a piece of plastic. It's hard for me to believe that this connector is proprietary. I can understand that...

I lost the piece that holds the control panel ribbon cable to the control board. I assumed it was a standard connector, but I can't seem to find it.

I think it's a zero insertion force connector...
