This is the fan in the outdoor A/C unit. It worked fine earlier today and the unit was cooling the house. I came back later and it was 88 degrees inside.

I took note that the indoor furnace/AC fan was blowing air through the vents, although it was just air that wasn't being cooled. I ran outside and noted the compressor was humming but the fan was not turning. The AC unit was very hot to the touch but it was 90 degrees outside today.

I turned off the inside thermostat, waited, turned it back on. Heard the click, then the indoor furnace/AC blower turned on. Air began cominjg through the vents. I ran outside and again heard the compressor humming but the fan on the AC unit was not turning. I shut everything down.

I would appreciate any ideas on whether I should throw in the towel and call the repairman or if this is something I might be able to fix inexpensively.

BTW, I looked through the grate on top of the unit and saw another tag inside. It said Model#H23B223ABCA
