I have a frigidaire heating and cooling unit window unit that will not cool. Whenever you put the control panel on cooling it shows on the control panel that it should be but it is blowing heat, like it defaults to heat. When the control panel is on heat it heats like it is suppose to. I have replaced out the main control board with no luck. Any suggestions?

I have about the same problem.My heat would run all the time when on heat. Did not make any difference what thermostate was set on. When i would put it on cool it would go back to heat.I took off the heat wire and taped it .Now air works fine.It may be the thermostate for the heating that has gone bad. Good luck
