Hello I have an LG split system air conditioner which is about 5 years old model LSK243H-1. I purchased it used and not working, after it reportedly stopped working by the seller. When I inspected the PCB board, several connectors (temp sensor, open motor) were coroded through. So I thought this is what is stopping it powering on and I re-soldered all the corroded wires straight onto the board. Then I wanted to test if it was working so WITHOUT wiring the compressor/outdoor unit I wired the indoor unit with the goal of seeing if it powers on and the fan works. But it didn't power on??? Any idea's? Does the indoor unit have a ground through the external unit to work? Anyone have the wiring diagram? Thanks...

You need to make up a test control. Get an old air conditioner fan switch and temp control. Figure out what is what on the switch and wire up the unit to that. On most rotary switches L2 stands alone with the fan neutral and the compressor neutral in the middle on the neutral bar. Then their is a L1 stand alone leg on one end of the rotary switch and 4 or 3 legs on the other end right. The compressor leg goes off to the temp control and then the other legs are simply hi med and low speed. So you connect a power cord to L1 and L2 and you connect the small black wire to hi small blue wire to med and the small red wire to low for fan speeds. The compressor has three wires on top of it. one wire goes to capacitor, one to neutral bar, and one to that temp control. Now you have a way to test it
