I have LG 6000 btu window air. Do not currently have access to model number.

It has digital temp readout and remote control.

The unit will start cooling at the set point say 78 degrees but will keep cooling until it get to about 60 degrees or less before cycling the cooling off.

Cools great but the on off temperature window is excessive. Is that maybe the temperature sender or digital temp unit?
