HEATILATOR GNDC36 Fireplace
Model Number: GNDC36 Brand: -other- Age: More than 10 years
I have a fireplace gndc 36. This year ignited the pilot.
Turned it on - and no flame.
Checked the power (24V) on the unit - no power.
Checked power on the switch - no power.
Disconnected incoming wires - no power.
Check resistance - 56 oms.
Checked passive resistance on the unit - some 7 oms.
Connected unit 24V AC 38VA transformer from my sprinkler.
Flames came but there are some sound from the unit - kind of like valve is vibrating - on/off/on/off
probably like 50-60 Ghc.
I am about to replace transformer and all feeding system but what is this sound about:
- not enough power on this 38VA unit?
- it has to have maybe DC (or half DC - like with 1 diod) ?
Does anybody know what it could be?
Besides. Why the original transformer 110v circle blown out?
