![]() Model Number: Carrier Comfort92 Brand: -other- Age: 5 - 10 years
![]() I've got a house built in 2004 where a manual dual zone HVAC system was originally installed. There are two dampers, one for the main/basement and another for the 2nd floor. I know they ran a thermostat wire to the 2nd floor as well in case I wanted to automate the dual zone setup. Currently this is what the damper setup on the furnace looks like: If I want to automate the system do I need to replace the dampers that are there? Or just replace the manual adjustments arms with motorized actuators and wire them to the furnace(Carrier Comfort 92)? I've very comfortable with being able to wire another t-stat and actuators to the furnace. My questions is what type/model/etc actuators and additional controls do I need to purchase?
