Range hood control switch

I have an old Thermador range hood with a faulty speed control switch. The replacement part I received (#414431) has three electrical leads. The original part
(KB 14B) has only two leads. My question is whether the new part is a correct
replacement, and if so how should it be wired up? Thanks in advance,
