hello. our lg dehumidifier is showing codes; ch and 01, plus it says bucket is full. when i power it on, it will run for a second, then shut down. i would really like to fix this as oppose to buying a new one. if i take to a repair shop, i'm sure it will cost as much as the new one. my husband is very mechanicly inclined as his profession and hobby, but not exactly in this area. thanks, tina

some dehumidifiers will have different codes for each brand. but what that means is that, the bucket on the dehumidifier is full of water, and needs to be dumped. it will fill full of water as it takes the moisture out of the air. try to figure out how to get the bucket out and dumped, then power the system down, an back on and that should reset the codes, and resume normal operation. if that doesn't help Thompson Refrigeration Heating & Cooling and i could possibly help you further. good luck to ya!

thanks for the reply. i think there is a misunderstanding. i know what a dehumidifier does. i would never be so ignorant as not to explore all obvious problems. the bucket is empty because a hose is connected from this appliance to a drain. i am looking for a mechanical reason, maybe a sensor, or switch, possibily something linked to the bucket full indicator. never had a problem with this appliance before. thanks, tina
