The unit could ice up, run constantly, air from condensing unit will not be warm,suction line will not be cool,liquid line will not be hot, evaporator will ice up or not cool properly. You add at the condensing unit. Unless you are certified, you will not be able to purchase or connect hoses unless it is auto 134A for auto or refrigerator which you can buy at auto stores or WalMart.
