Six months ago, I followed Martha Stewart's advice and took a 12 inch, narrow, pointed brush and dusted the coils on the bottom of my refrigerator. Up until then my ice maker worked fine. Now, no ice. Water does go to the water dispenser. However, the ice bucket will not lock. I have cleaned it many times to get rid of ice build up. A repair man came today and he has ordered a new flapper for the ice/water dispense because it does not close and a new selinoid. I showed him how the ice bucket wouldn't lock, but has dismissed that. I rememer seeing something that if the ice bucket doesn't lock, no ice will be made. It seems odd this happened right after dusting the coils. Repairman tested ice makes and their is power to it. Please advise. I was not real impressed with repairman. Thanks for your help.
