I owe a Heat & Glo gas fireplace model 6000GDV (standing pilot) with a Robertshaw valve (Model unknown). The thermopile SRV60-512 (2103-512) did not measure the required mV for the valve to allow gas flow to the burner. After replacement the new thermopile shows the measurements under the following conditions :
1. Pilot lit, valve switch OFF, thermopile cable connected = 540mV
2. Pilot lit, valve switch ON, thermopile cable connected = 276 mV
3. Pilot lit, thermopile cable disconnected = 700mV
4. Pilot lit, valve switch disconnected & bypassed, thermopile cable connected = 218mV
The valve still does not allow gas flow to the burner. However, at the moment when bypassing the switch, I can hear a clicking sound from the inside the valve.
Do I need to replace the gas valve, could it be repaired, or do I face another issue ? Thank you for your reply.
