Default ge refrigerator

I have a ge tfx22pme refrigerator and I wasn't getting water to the icemaker. I replaced the water valve but the problem is not resolved. Is there a switch that could be bad to let the valve open and shut and if so where is it located and how is it activated?

I would put 115 volts to the ice maker water solenoid and see if the ice maker mold fills up with water, seven seconds should do it. If not, you have a frozen fill spout in the freezer, probably due to the freezer being too cold, or the condensing coils clogged.
