Default Kenmore Vacuum Question/Help???

I'm looking to replace the motor brushes on my Kenmore Model 116 vacuum cleaner. I used it as a bit of a shop vac and totally filled it with dust, now it's sparking at the brushes, I'm thinking there gone? Anyway - I took it all apart and cleaned the whole thing out but it's still doing it, but before I throw the thing out I thought I'd try and replace the brushes but I can't seem to find a part number for these. Can anybody help - it's states model #116 with the numbers 28095200C beside it. Serial number D53105025, Class C-D9, 12 amps.
Thanks.

Exclamation Kenmore vacuum

You will find it's difficult to find brushes only for a motor. I'd call the parts desk at this site and ask them about part# AP3118575. They may can order it for you. wrench

Default Shop Vac needs motor brushes

I also have a problem with my Shop Vac 4Hp 8 gal 9.3A model #338-179370. The motor brushes are sparking. I opened it all up & used some compressed air to blow it all out. But that didn't work. I need to replace the brushes. I went to a store Sears Service Dept. They tell me I have to buy a new Motor. but it cost $53.69 + S&H OF $15. (#338 72201-97) So I just purchased a New Shop Vac for $35. I do know of a electric motor rebuilder Company near my house. If they can put in a new set of brushes, I will use it as a back up vac. Depending on cost.
