Hello, My wife was cleaning her Kitchenaid mixer (Model # KSM90) that is about 10 years old and removed the screws that hold the brushes for the moter in place. (The black ones on the side in about the middle of the motor housing. She tried to put them back in and the mixer hasn't run since then. I tried to do the same with no luck.

There is no noise, no hum, nothing. It almost seems like there is a fuse or breaker that is out, but I can't find anything. pulling off the back there is no blackened connections. is it possible that we need to get new brushes?

Also when the brushes came out one brass guide came out as well I've put it back both ways so the curves of the brushes touch the motor correctly. I'm stuck. Any help would be great.
