I have a 18" under the counter machine that is 10 years old. Through out the years we have had to replace the evaporator platform, it broke loose. Then the cutter bar wires broke and we replaced the cutter bar unit. Now the cutter bar seems to cut the cubes too slow and the ice backs up on the cutter bar. Our system does not have a controller board, but uses and 8.5 volt transformer for power to the cutter bar. We had everything checked out and they said our evaporator core was warped and needed to be changed.
Without the cutter bar, the unit will fill up with the blocks of ice overnight. The blocks of ice are flat and not warped. Any suggestions other than a boat anchor? |
