Brand New Kenmore disposal. Turns on, but blades wont turn

Model Number: 6011 Brand: Kenmore Age: Less than 1 year

I have just purchased a brand new Kenmore disposal today. When i installed it, all the wiring is correct. When i turn the disposal on, it makes noise like it is jammed. But its never been used so it cant be jammed. Then after about 15 seconds, the button on the bottom pops out, and the disposal turns off. I have inserted the allen wrench key into the bottom, and it turns freely. I cant think of what the problem is... PLEASE HELP!!
