Kenmore 500 disposer runs but blades not moving
Model Number: 175.66554 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello,
I have a Kenmore 500 Disposer 175.66554. I was running it the other day and the motor runs but the blades in the sink don't turn. Is there a jam nut I can tighten or is it just time to replace the Disposer? I have never done this type of job and didn't want to jump in blind. If I have to replace it will I have to rework the drain pipes or are most disposers the same? Will be be an easy replacement? I am good with tools and know basic electrical as the motor is hard wired. My only concern is if I will have to redo the drain system. Any help will be greatly appreciated...
